Day camps are offered at select Parks & Recreation community and recreation centers during fall, winter and spring breaks. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Spring Break Day Camp will take place March 13-17, 2023.
These dates are subject to change based on decisions made by the Huntsville City Schools.
WHO CAN ATTEND
The camps are for Huntsville City Schools students in grades 1-6. The cost for campers is $50 per week. For families with more than one child, the cost is $50 per week for the first child and $30 per week for each additional child. Cash, check or credit/debit card payments will be accepted. Payment must be made to the facility your child will attend before participating.
Day Camps will not take place on City of Huntsville holidays.
Recreation center staff will call the parent/guardian to confirm the child has been admitted to the Day Camp they have selected. The Day Camp is first come, first served. The maximum number of children varies by site, depending on the space and staffing. A separate application must be submitted for each child attending.
Registration will open approximately three weeks prior to the start date of each camp.
Day Camps include afternoon snacks, arts, athletics/wellness and recreational outdoor activities. Professional recreation staff will be supervising the children. Camps may also include one or more field trips.
Parents must provide a daily lunch for their child. Please send items that do not need refrigeration or heating. A snack will be provided.
Huntsville Parks & Recreation will adhere to current guidance and protocols from the Alabama Department of Public Health.
DROP OFF/PICK UP
Each child will be checked in upon arrival and must be checked out by an adult listed on the registration form. If someone who is not listed on the form comes to pick up a child, the parent/guardian will be contacted to ensure the individual has permission to take the child.
At this time, transportation to Day Camps is not available.
