Rec Zone

Rec Zone at the Fern Bell Recreation Center gives preteens and younger teens a safe environment to hang out and have fun after school. The program runs Monday through Friday, from 3-5:30 p.m., and is free for Huntsville City Schools students between the ages of 10-15.

Activities include sports, games and more. There is also a dedicated space for students to do homework.

This program follows the Huntsville City Schools calendar. No registration is required.

DROP OFF/PICK UP

Each child will be checked in upon arrival and must be checked out by an adult listed on the registration form. If someone who is not listed on the form comes to pick up a child, the parent/guardian will be contacted to ensure the individual has permission to take the child.

TRANSPORTATION

Parks & Recreation does not provide transportation from the schools to after-school care; however, some public schools do have buses that drop children off at select centers. Please contact your school to see if this is an option.
