Discover what’s new in Huntsville’s vibrant music scene at the upcoming HSV Quarterly Music Meetup on Tuesday, July 30, at St. Stephens Music Hall at Campus 805.

The free event, which runs from 6-8:30 p.m., provides an opportunity for musicians and stakeholders to network and collaborate. Attendees can also engage with Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella and members of Huntsville’s Music Board. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Mandrella will provide updates on ongoing music initiatives and events, including a preview of Huntsville Music Month, observed each September. This year’s celebration starts with the VBC 5K Music Run on Saturday, Aug. 31. That’s followed by the return of Jazz in the Park-Huntsville on September 1-2 and Launchpad Music Festival on September 6-7 at Big Spring Park.

Throughout September, the Music Office will host or co-host a variety of events, culminating in the inaugural South Star Music Festival at John Hunt Park on September 28-29.

“Huntsville’s music scene is buzzing and it’s exciting to see artists from other states moving to Huntsville to experience what we have to offer,” Mandrella said. “It’s also great to see other music cities taking notice and following our lead on initiatives like our Music Ambassador Program, which tells us we’re moving in the right direction.”
