Published on October 9, 2025

The City of Huntsville has commissioned a study to evaluate a new interchange on Interstate 65 north of the I-565 interchange at Exit 340 and south of Huntsville Brownsferry Road at Exit 347 in Limestone County.

Skipper Consulting will conduct the study. The scope of the project includes traffic analysis and defining a corridor for an east-west connector to I-65. The objective is to provide connectivity between U.S. 31, I-65 and Greenbrier Parkway.

The study, which is expected to be completed by July 2026, will be submitted to the Federal Highway Administration and the Alabama Department of Transportation for review.
