A True Hero: Council President John Meredith statement on Officer Crumby death

City Council President John Meredith issued the following statement about the line-of-duty death of Huntsville Police Department Officer Garrett Crumby:
“Huntsville Police Officer Garrett Crumby, who sacrificed his life to serve our community, was laid to rest on April 3, 2023, just six days after he was killed in the line of duty. Officer Albert Morin, who was seriously injured during the shooting, remains in recovery at Huntsville Hospital. The outpouring of support for these two officers shows the remarkable respect Huntsville citizens have for the men and women who serve in HPD and the job they do to keep us safe. We offer our sincere condolences to Officer Crumby’s family and wish Officer Morin the speediest possible full recovery.”.
