Dink Pink in support of breast cancer awareness with Huntsville Parks & Recreation
Published on October 8, 2025

Parks & Recreation invites pickleball players of all skill levels to visit participating recreation centers on Wednesday, Oct. 15, for the inaugural city-wide Dink Pink Pickleball Day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
The free open-play sessions welcome all skill levels and while healthy competition is welcome, players are encouraged to serve, rally and dink in honor of those affected by breast cancer. Players and cheering sections are encouraged to wear their pink outfits and invited to don a pink ribbon provided by the centers, in support of the cause.
Pink-themed pickleball accessory giveaways will be provided by each center while supplies last.
Participating centers:
- Johnson Legacy Center, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Brahan Spring Recreation Center, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Dr. Robert Shurney Legacy Center, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
