Explore, play and grow at Huntsville Parks & Recreation’s Spring Fest at West

Parks & Recreation invite the Huntsville community to explore the recently opened West Huntsville Recreation Center and its programming on Saturday, March 14, from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the first Spring Fest at West.

Since its opening in December 2025, the West Huntsville Recreation Center, 150 Martin Rd. SW, has been a popular community destination for fun, fitness and connection.

The free, family-friendly event will include interactive games, activities, inflatables, face painting and more. Hands-on recreation experiences led by staff will allow attendees to immerse themselves in what a typical day at the recreation center looks like.

The event will also feature community partners like Shoot 360 basketball training, Nutty Scientists of Rocket City and more to share information about local programs, services and resources.

“This will be the first large community event hosted at the West Huntsville Recreation Center and there will be plenty of opportunities to explore,” said Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett. “We’ve seen a great response since opening and we are excited to share this added amenity.”
