Parks & Recreation’s Healthy Hearts Expo is back in 2026 for American Heart Month in February.
The heart healthy event for residents ages 50 and older is Thursday, Feb. 12, from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Mark Russell Recreation Center, 429 Taylor Road. It will focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle physically, mentally and financially.
Attendees will have the chance to enter a drawing for door prizes, explore a variety of local vendors who provide services and resources for seniors as well as listen and participate in informative health sessions and more.
Other features include presentations on subjects such as pain management, senior resources and more.
“The Healthy Hearts Expo gives Huntsville seniors practical tools and resources to support a healthy lifestyle,” Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett said. “Beyond the health education, it creates space for connection and introduces residents to one of our Parks & Recreation facilities.”
Seniors are encouraged to attend, connect with local resources and take meaningful steps toward a healthier lifestyle during American Heart Month.
