Green Team launches survey to evaluate sources, scale of litter in Huntsville
Published on August 5, 2022
Huntsville’s Green Team wants to know what you think about litter. As part of the City’s larger commitment to being responsible stewards of our environment, Green Team is conducting a city-wide survey through Aug. 31 to receive public input on litter.
Green Team is the City’s division responsible for litter prevention as well as environmental outreach and education.
TAKE GREEN TEAM’S LITTER SURVEY
“Even with our wonderful volunteer groups, it’s hard for a team of about a dozen city employees to stay on top of litter in the 228 square miles that Huntsville encompasses, so having public input will help us identify how to best allocate our resources,” said City of Huntsville’s Director of Landscape Management Brian Walker. “It could also possibly lead to some innovative ideas for litter prevention in Huntsville.”
The brief survey can be completed anonymously and takes about four minutes. In addition to multiple-choice questions, Huntsville residents may submit alternative suggestions for new ways to prevent and mitigate litter in the city.
The survey is available at HuntsvilleAL.gov/GreenTeam and the Green Team Facebook page.
