Headed into the workforce? Find the right job at the Senior Sprint Career Fair

Published on April 20, 2022

For high school seniors, the race is almost over. All that’s left are those final steps to graduation day. Diplomas in hand, some students will go on to further their education, while others will enter the workforce. Some remain unsure of their futures.

Those not enrolling in a two- or four-year college or university are encouraged to attend the Senior Sprint Career Fair on Tuesday, April 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Optimist Recreation Center, 703 Oakwood Ave. NE, Huntsville.

The career fair, organized by the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber and sponsored by Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, is open to graduating seniors from Huntsville City Schools, Madison City Schools and Madison County Schools. The goal of the event is to bridge the gap from high school to the workforce, providing graduates with a variety of career and training opportunities.

For some students, a lack of awareness prevents them from making firm decisions about their futures. The Senior Sprint Career Fair will showcase careers for graduating seniors and aim them toward a fruitful future.

All employers at the Senior Sprint Career Fair will be willing to train and hire high school graduates. On-the-spot interviews will also be conducted at the event.

Huntsville Parks & Recreation is proud to partner with the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber in hosting this important event. For more information about the Senior Sprint Career Fair, contact Annie Davis, Director of Talent Initiatives, Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, 256-535-2020.
