Huntsville Transit will host a Driver Recruitment Open House on Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Huntsville Transit Office, 500 B Church Street, First Floor Training Room. The event connects prospective candidates with opportunities to join the team as bus operators.
Huntsville Transit provides safe, reliable transportation options to residents and visitors. The system includes two services:
- Orbit: Huntsville’s fixed-route bus system, operating along designated routes throughout the city.
- Access: Huntsville’s public paratransit service for individuals with disabilities or seniors over 65 who cannot use regular fixed routes.
The “Steer to a New Career” open house will give prospective drivers insight into how Huntsville Transit bus operators contribute to the City’s growth and accessibility. Attendees will learn about paid CDL training, competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits and the vital role operators play in keeping Huntsville connected and moving forward.
Bus operators enjoy stable, rewarding careers while assisting the community with access to work, education and essential services.
“Driving for Huntsville Transit isn’t just about getting people from point A to point B—it’s about accessibility and connecting our community,” Director of Parking and Public Transportation Quisha Bryant said. “We’re excited to welcome new drivers who want a career with purpose, stability and growth.”
