Join Huntsville Animal Services for ‘Happy Paw-lidays’ and cheer

Published on December 3, 2025

Come celebrate the season with Huntsville Animal Services (HAS) at a festive after-hours “Happy Paw-lidays” adoption event Friday, Dec. 5, from 5-10 p.m. The community is invited to wear their warmest holiday pajamas for an evening filled with snuggles, silliness and snacks.

Just in time for the holiday, all dog adoption fees will be waived during the event. Come enjoy local food vendors, participate in hilarious social media challenges, and meet dozens of snuggly dogs ready to start the season in a warm, loving forever home.

“This time of year reminds us how important it is to feel connected and cared for,” said HAS Director John Fischer. “By opening our doors after hours, we’re giving our dogs a festive chance to meet families who can offer them the love and stability they deserve. It truly makes a difference.”

The Happy Paw-lidays after-hours adoption event will be held at Huntsville Animal Services, 4950 Triana Blvd. SW. All adoptions include vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, microchipping and a city pet license.
