An officer was bitten and a dog shot while police served a narcotics search warrant today.

STAC Agents were serving a search warrant for drugs at a home in the 2100 block of Guava Circle around 3:45 p.m. today.  When the Agents entered the home one of them was attacked and bitten by a dog.  Agents fired their weapons, striking and killing the dog.  The officer that was bitten was treated at the hospital, but the injuries were not serious.  Animal Control responded to the house and took two additional dogs, that were not injured, for safekeeping.  The investigation is ongoing.
