Petsense Adopt-a-Thon dog adoption set for Oct. 18

Fall means football and homecoming, and Huntsville Animal Services (HAS) invites the community to a special homecoming “Adopt-a-Thon” pop-up event on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Petsense, 2290 Zierdt Road.
The “Adopt-a-Thon” event is part of a national annual event organized by Petsense and is designed to help shelter animals find their fur-ever home. Whether you’re hoping for a playful puppy or a loyal companion, come meet some incredible shelter dogs and maybe find your new best friend.
Animal Services will be on site and will accept cash or checks for adoption fees. HAS staff will assist with paperwork and answer questions about pet care and the adoption process.
“Events like this make it easy for our community to connect with dogs who are ready to love and be loved,” said Huntsville Animal Services Director John Fischer. “Pet adoption is a win-win for the pet and the new owner, and we’re excited to help these pets find the homes they deserve.”
