Police Identify Pedestrian Killed in Accident

The Huntsville Police Department has released the identity of a man killed in a Monday night accident on Jordan Lane near Bob Wallace Avenue.
Police responded to a traffic accident involving a pedestrian around 9:15 p.m. on Monday. It appears 67 year old Ernest Pope of Huntsville was struck while attempting to cross Jordan Lane. Mr. Pope died as a result of his injuries. The accident is still under investigation, and no charges have been filed against the driver.
