Second suspect arrested in connection with deadly Lakeview Drive shooting

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged Erica Lashawn Baker, 31, of Huntsville with murder in connection to a deadly shooting that happened in the 3000 block of Lakeview Drive around 5 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17.

Following an extensive investigation and consultation with the Madison County District Attorney’s Office, it was decided to issue an additional murder warrant for Baker on Monday, Nov. 25. Baker was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals in Lexington, Kentucky on Friday, Nov. 22.

HPD will continue to collaborate with the Madison County District Attorney’s Office to ensure the successful prosecution of this case.
