You’re Invited! Come see what’s next for North Huntsville at the Greenway Master Plan Open House
Published on July 12, 2025
The City of Huntsville invites you to be part of shaping the future of North Huntsville at a special Open House for the North Huntsville Greenway Master Plan.
City planners are eager to hear your thoughts on Thursday, July 17, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. (drop in anytime!) in the 2nd floor lobby at Huntsville City Hall.
Come explore what’s in store for the North Huntsville Greenway – a bold, exciting project that will connect downtown Huntsville’s “sky bridge” all the way to the Meek Greenway at Alabama A&M University. Inspired by successful projects like Atlanta’s Beltline, Birmingham’s Rotary Trail, and the NYC High Line, this greenway is more than just a walking path – it’s a vision for community connection, revitalization and outdoor enjoyment.
City planners and the consulting team, led by Lord Aeck Sargent, will be on hand with maps, renderings, and ideas. You’ll be able to walk through the displays, ask questions, and share your thoughts. It’s a relaxed, come-and-go style event. If you miss this opportunity, there will be another public meeting coming soon in North Huntsville. Watch the City’s website and City social for more announcements.
Whether you’re a longtime North Huntsville resident, a cyclist, a jogger or just curious about how your neighborhood is growing, this is your chance to see the future and be a part of it.
Let’s build something beautiful – together!
