One of Huntsville’s favorite free live‑music traditions continues as 805 After Five returns to Butler Green at Campus No. 805 on Thursday, July 16, from 5-9 p.m., headlined by rising indie‑pop artist Susannah Joffe with acclaimed Huntsville musician Rob Aldridge opening.
Known for bringing nationally emerging talent to the Rocket City, 805 After Five blends new musical voices with Huntsville’s vibrant community atmosphere. The series invites residents to discover artists they’ll be following long after the final note.
Susannah Joffe, a NYC‑based and Texas‑raised performer, has quickly gained attention for her expressive lyricism and bold, modern indie‑pop sound. Her music blends Austin’s soft indie‑rock roots with the rich, colorful energy of New York’s DIY scene.
Rob Aldridge, a celebrated Huntsville singer‑songwriter, is known for his soulful vocals and gripping Americana‑leaning storytelling. With both solo projects and performances alongside his band, The Proponents, Aldridge has become a defining voice in the North Alabama music landscape.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a relaxed evening outdoors. Concertgoers can expect live music beginning at 6 p.m., food trucks beginning at 5 p.m., craft beverages and the warm, community‑centered vibe that has made 805 After Five a summer staple.
“This year’s season has been curated with discovery in mind,” Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella said. “What makes 805 After Five so special is the mix of local flavor and national up‑and‑coming talent. It’s the perfect place to stumble upon an artist you’ll be following for years.
