Huntsville purchases land for new fire station in north Huntsville

As part of continuous assessments of public safety services to meet the needs of residents, the City of Huntsville approved the purchase of land in north Huntsville for a new fire station.

The vacant lot of approximately 5.27 acres is located on Blue Spring Road across from Penland Avenue and about two-tenths of a mile south of Mastin Lake Road.

The City has not set a date for the fire station’s construction to start.

Huntsville Fire & Rescue operates 20 stations and opened its newest station in 2024 at 13175 Burgreen Rd., Madison.
