Mayor Battle, Council Member Keith & Council Member Culver Sworn into Office

The City of Huntsville held its 2016 Inauguration Ceremony on Monday, November 7, at 2 p.m., in Big Spring Park East.

Mayor Tommy Battle was sworn in for a third term by retired Judge Joe Battle. District One Council Member Devyn Keith was sworn in for his first term by the Presiding District Judge Claude E. Hundley of the 23rd Judicial Circuit Court. District Five Council Member Will Culver was sworn in for a third term by Municipal Court Judge Sybil Cleveland.

The City’s acapella groups, the Blue Notes from the Huntsville Police Department and the Fahrenheits from Huntsville Fire & Rescue, performed the Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America. Jemison High School JROTC presented the colors.

Following the induction ceremony, a brief reception was be held on the lawn in Big Spring Park East featuring local vendors Piper & Leaf Tea, Mason Dixon Bakery and The Donut Hole.
