Adoption 500 Race to a New Home
Published on February 4, 2019
Homeless pets continue to arrive every day at the Animal Shelter, challenging the resources of Huntsville Animal Services. It’s a daily race to find a new home for every dog and cat. With the Daytona 500 coming up on February 17, Huntsville Animal Services is embarking on its own speedway, running many “laps around the track” to reach a new goal – adopting 500 pets from now through February 28.
All pets are just $20 to adopt during the “Adoption 500 Race to a New Home” package in February. It includes spay or neuter surgery, rabies and other vaccinations, microchip for pet identification, city license, collar and deworming. Restrictions may apply on some pets.
The Animal Shelter is located at 4950 Triana Boulevard. Hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
