Applications are open for college age summer internships with the City of Huntsville

Looking for a summer internship? The City of Huntsville offers outstanding learning opportunities for motivated college students wanting career experience. We have positions in the Administration – Business Relations, Communication, Multicultural Affairs; in Animal Services, Community Development, Emergency Management (EMA), Engineering, Finance, Geographic Information System (GIS), Information Technology Services, Legal, Legal (prosecution office) Planning, Natural Resources, and Traffic Engineering.

Applicants must be at least 19 years old and currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or be a student who has graduated from college no more than six months prior to placement in the Internship Program.

The City of Huntsville 2020 summer intern program runs from June 8 to July 31. The positions are unpaid, and interns work Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise specified by the department. Applications will be accepted online through March 16 via NeoGov at HuntsvilleAL.gov/jobs Accepted interns will be notified in April.
