Become part of the mix Tuesday, March 14, during HSV Quarterly Music Meetup

Published on March 10, 2023

Huntsville’s music community is invited to network with fellow musicians and stakeholders at the upcoming HSV Quarterly Music Meetup on Tuesday, March 14.

The free networking event will run from 5:30-8 p.m. at The Electric Belle at Stovehouse, located at the end of Gas Light Alley. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Besides networking with fellow musicians and music lovers, attendees can meet with Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella and members of Huntsville’s Music Board, including new members Karmessa Padgett and Kaleka Jones. Mandrella said the Meetup – the first of 2023 – is a great way to kick off what he predicts will be a big year for Rocket City music.

“Last year, we focused on developing a foundation, and now we’re ready to start putting bigger building blocks in place,” he said. “Thanks to our mentions in the national press and ability to attract internationally renowned artists, Huntsville’s music city goals are becoming a reality. The dream is still evolving and it’s going to take a village to get to where we want to be, which is why it’s important to have support from as many citizens as possible, whether you’re a music maker or consumer.”

Mandrella will address attendees on several ongoing and upcoming plans, including rolling out the red carpet for the 2023 Music Cities Convention, to be held Oct. 18-20 in Huntsville. He’ll also provide a sneak peek into plans for September’s second annual Huntsville Music Month while also revealing new initiatives.

“It’s really just such an exciting time for Huntsville and our music community right now,” Mandrella said. “I look forward to seeing what we can all accomplish together in 2023 and beyond.”
