City of Huntsville offices to close for Veterans Day

City of Huntsville municipal offices will close Tuesday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day. This includes Animal Services, Public Transit (Orbit and Access) and Parks & Recreation facilities.

City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

  • Garbage Collection: Residential collection will be delayed one day. Residents should leave carts at the curb until they are collected.
  • Public Safety: Essential police and fire personnel will remain on duty throughout the holiday.
