Come lasso a new ‘pawdner’ at Huntsville Animal Services

Published on September 13, 2021

Riding down the hot and dusty trail of life is no fun alone, which is why Huntsville Animal Services (HAS) is inviting the public to come lasso a new “pawdner” at a reduced rate.

The shelter continues to receive 10-15 dogs and cats daily, which means the same amount need to be rescued, adopted or fostered each day to prevent overcrowding and save lives. To encourage adoption of available critters, HAS is offering reduced fees of $10, $35 and $50, though some exclusions apply.

Adoptable pets are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and come with a City license and free bag of pet food. Those unable to adopt are asked to consider fostering an animal through the shelter’s foster program.

Located at 4950 Triana Blvd. in Huntsville, the shelter is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
