Crisis Intervention Officer Certification Graduation

The Huntsville Police Department will be having a C.I.T. (Crisis Intervention Team) graduation next Friday February 22nd at 3:00pm at the Jaycees Building off Airport Rd. The twenty students that participated, include officers from the Huntsville Police Department , Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Madison Police Department.
The Huntsville Police Department is one of only four law enforcement agencies in the country that received a grant to hold this training. This C.I.T. graduation marks the beginning of a new initiative designed to improve the way law enforcement and the community respond to people experiencing a mental health crisis.
