Fresh off Lollapalooza, The Bends set to ignite 805 After Five on Aug. 20

Just a couple weeks after electrifying crowds at Lollapalooza, The Bends are heading to Butler Green at Campus No. 805 on Thursday, Aug. 20, to give Huntsville fans a chance to catch one of the year’s hottest rising acts up close.
The free outdoor concert from 5-9 p.m. will feature nationally rising indie‑rock band The Bends, fresh off their recent performance at Lollapalooza, with Huntsville favorite First Lady opening the evening.
Known for their dynamic blend of alternative rock, atmospheric textures and high‑energy live shows, The Bends have become one of the most talked‑about emerging acts on the festival circuit. Their Lollapalooza performance earlier this month introduced the band to tens of thousands of new fans and marked a major milestone in their rapidly ascending career.
“We’re really excited to have The Bends coming to Huntsville,” Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella said. “They’re such a fun, high-energy live band that’s a perfect fit for 805 After Five. First Lady is going to do a great job getting the crowd going, too. This series is all about bringing in cool artists to our community and creating another reason for people to get out, connect and experience the momentum surrounding Huntsville’s music scene.”
First Lady, well‑known to Rocket City audiences for powerful vocals and genre‑blending performances, will kick off the evening at 6 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, grab food and beverages from surrounding Campus No. 805 businesses, and enjoy a night celebrating Huntsville’s vibrant and expanding music landscape.
