Golf Road Shooting Update

The Huntsville Police Department is investigating an officer involved shooting in the 2000 block of Golf Road that happened Wednesday night.
Officers responded to a shots fired call in the 2000 block of Golf Road shortly before 5:00 p.m. During the investigation officers encountered a subject armed with a handgun and one officer fired at the armed subject striking him. The subject was transported to Huntsville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The case is still under investigation and the two officers involved have been placed on administrative leave.
