The City of Huntsville’s Green Team is celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service with a community cleanup of Campus 805 and surrounding areas.
The cleanup will be Saturday, Jan. 18, from 9-11 a.m. The Green Team tent will be set up at S.R. Butler Green at Campus 805, 2620 Clinton Ave.
“The Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service is a tremendous opportunity to honor Dr. King’s legacy and give back to your community,” Landscape Management Director Brian Walker said. “Our community cleanups are also a time to make new friends and join together in an effort to make Huntsville an even better place to live and work. We encourage everyone to show up with their community spirit and Green Team will take care of the rest.”
Green Team will provide all the tools and equipment volunteers need, including gloves, litter sticks, safety vests and trash bags.
