Huntsville Police Robbery Task force Investigators arrested 43 yr old Jesse Burrell on March 1st for two counts of robbery. Officers received a request for a welfare check of a 87 yr old resident on Vogel Dr. on January 12th from family members who were concerned after being unable to contact the victim. Upon officers arrival they were unable to get anyone to a door and made entry through an unlocked back door after confirming several family members concerns. The victim was discovered in a room with injuries from an assault and had to be transported to the hospital. The investigation revealed that the offender had assaulted the victim after he asked for money and it wasn’t given to him. He forced his way in  after the victim opened the door and began assaulting the victim taking some items to include a wallet and car keys. On Feb 28th the offender knocked on the door of a Montview Dr resident and  forced in his way inside demanding money. He fled with the victim’s car in that case. Through the investigation he was identified as the offender in both incidents. On March 1st Robbery Task Force Investigators located the unoccupied car from the second victim in an apartment complex and set up surveillance. He was taken into custody without incident while walking back to the car.
