HPD Prescription Drug Drop Box –First Quarter 2019 Results

Huntsville Police is in its fourth year of maintaining a drug depository at the Public Safety Complex at 815 Wheeler Ave for unwanted and unused drugs. This first quarter of 2019, the drug take back bin has taken in 554 lbs of unused drugs. This is the largest amount recorded in one quarter since the program started.
If you have unwanted or expired prescription drugs that need to be discarded, this location remains available 24/7 and the lobby desk is staffed by HPD Officers.
We also want to remind everyone of the Spring DEA Drug Take Back Event April 27th, 2019 from 10am -2pm at the Kroger on US HWY 72 West.
