Huntsville Animal Services to host ‘May the 4-Pawed Be With You’ adoption day May 4

In the spirit of a galaxy far, far away, Huntsville Animal Services (HAS) will host “May the 4-Pawed Be With You”, an adoption promotion on Monday, May 4 at Animal Services, 4950 SW Triana Blvd. All dog and cat adoption fees will be waived on May the 4th.

“Whether you’re seeking a loyal co‑pilot or a wise little creature full of personality, you just might find the pet you’re looking for,” said John Fischer, Director of Huntsville Animal Services. “The Force is strong with our adoptable animals, and we hope to see many of them off to their new homes.”

May the 4th gives the HAS team a fun way to connect the Rocket City community with animals who are ready for their greatest deep space adventure. For anyone who has been considering adoption, this is a great day to do it.

“These are not the droids you’ve been looking for, but they are the best pet friends you’ve been searching the galaxy for,” Fischer said.

All adoptions include vaccinations, microchipping and spay/neuter services. HAS encourages families, individuals and sci-fi movie fans of all ages to visit the shelter, meet adoptable pets and share in the fun. The galactic theme could also spin-off some new adopted pet names!

A full list of all available dogs and cats at HAS can be found here.

Animal Services is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 256-883-3782, visit HuntsvilleAL.gov/Animal or visit their Facebook page to learn more.
