Huntsville approves annexation of land in eastern Madison County

The City Council approved the annexation of 536.8 acres of land in eastern Madison County near Gurley. The land, known as Cleary Farm, is located on the south side of Little Cove Road and just east of U.S. Hwy 72.
Private developers are planning to build 400-500 single-family homes on the newly annexed land.
