Huntsville municipal offices to close for Labor Day

The City of Huntsville will close Monday, Sept. 4, in observance of Labor Day.

This includes Huntsville Animal Services, Public Transit (Orbit and Access) and Municipal Court. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5.

The following City services will be impacted:

  • Garbage Collection: Residential collection will be delayed one day the week of Sept. 4-8. Residents should leave carts at the curb until they are collected.
  • Parks & Recreation: All facilities are closed except splash pads, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Public Safety: Essential police and fire personnel will remain on duty throughout the holiday.
