Scheduled throughout the 2025-2026 school year and led by trained recreation staff, the Male Mentorship Program empowers boys ages 8-17 to grow into confident, positive individuals. Through engaging activities, supportive mentors and inspirational speakers, participants gain essential life skills and build meaningful connections in a safe, encouraging environment.

Registration opens Monday, Aug. 4, and continues through Wednesday, Oct. 1. Due to limited space, interested participants are encouraged to register promptly. The registration fee is $25 per child.

In addition to participants, the program is seeking to expand its roster of male mentors who are passionate about making a positive impact in the community. All prospective mentors will undergo a thorough background check to ensure the safety and well-being of program participants.

“The Male Mentorship Program is a meaningful investment in the growth and development of our youth,” said Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett. “We are proud to offer such an impactful initiative that helps prepare young men for the opportunities and responsibilities of adulthood.”
