Huntsville Woman Charged with Murder Following Saturday Shooting

The Huntsville Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit has charged Datondra Mitchell, 25 of Huntsville, with Murder following a Saturday shooting on Clopton Street.

Officers responded to an apartment in the 3000 block of Clopton Street around 1:30 Saturday.  Inside the apartment they found Carzella Little, 20 of Huntsville, dead from a gunshot wound.  Mitchell was taken into custody at the scene and after further investigation was charged with Domestic Violence Murder.

It appears Mitchell and Little, who were in a dating relationship, were in an argument Saturday that led to the shooting.  Mitchell is being held in the Madison County Jail.
