Municipal Court Order in Response to COVID-19

 IN THE MUNICIPAL COURT FOR THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE

ORDER

Effective immediately and pursuant to the suggestions of the Supreme Court of Alabama, all trial dockets in the Municipal Court of Huntsville are continued until a date to be determined. This specifically includes Night Court and Driving School. New court dates will be announced and forwarded to parties via U.S. mail. Defendants should contact counsel of record for details or with questions.

This Court specifically finds that arraignments and bond hearings are necessary to protect the constitutional rights of criminal defendants and these shall remain as scheduled. Adjustments to said hearings may be made to promote social distancing.

Unless informed otherwise, Probationers should continue to follow instructions as previously provided.

This Order is subject to modification and change as circumstances dictate.
