Murder Arrest

On January 24, 2018 at about 2am HPD received a call of a shooting at 3015 Tucker Drive. Officers began a death investigation after finding the victim, Dimitrick Mims Jr., with a gunshot wound. Investigators learned details of a possible named suspect during their investigation. The investigation uncovered a possible named suspect of Sateaus Dejuan Wilson, 27 yrs old. Although the shooting details were released, details about a suspect or a description were not immediately released because HPD investigators along with the US Marshalls learned information that he posed a flight risk early in the investigation. A warrant was obtained for Wilson’s arrest on January 25th. Investigators reached out to Wilson’s family and were able to get him to turn himself in today, peacefully without incident.
