National “Clear the Shelters” Pet Adoption Campaign Aug. 14-19

Huntsville Animal Services is participating in this week’s national “Clear the Shelters” pet adoption campaign, Monday – Saturday, August 14 – 19.

Find a new best friend for life at no charge for adult dogs and cats. Restrictions may apply to specific pets.

The week culminates on Saturday, Aug. 19, when Huntsville Animal Services joins area animal rescue groups for a mega-adoption event at the Jaycees Building at John Hunt Park, 2180 Airport Road, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Huntsville Animal Services main location, 4950 Triana Boulevard, will also be open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Clear the Shelters” is a national event designed to raise awareness about overcrowding in local animal shelters. It is organized by NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations. More information about the “Clear the Shelters” campaign is available at ClearTheShelters.com.

Huntsville Animal Services regular hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 pm Monday through Friday with the exception of Tuesday. The hours on Tuesdays are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
