Prescription Drug Drop Box

Two years ago on March 4th, 2016 Huntsville Police introduced a prescription drug take back program by installing a medication drop box in the lobby of the Public Safety Complex at 815 Wheeler Ave. We wanted to give an update on it’s progress. It has taken in approximately 400 lbs of prescription drugs this quarter and 2,450 lbs since it was installed in 2016. That’s 2,850 lbs of prescription drugs that won’t find their way into the wrong hands or our water system. If you have unwanted or expired prescription drugs that need to be discarded, this location remains available 24/7.
