Residential Bulk Waste Pick-up Delays

The City of Huntsville Sanitation Division advises that some areas of Huntsville may experience delays in the bulk curbside collection due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The combination of the State’s “Safer at Home Order” and the already high volume of debris placed curbside during the summer months has caused an abnormally large increase in the amount of bulk trash to collect.

City Sanitation crews are working diligently to collect this material, even extending collection into the weekends. Residents are asked to keep their curbside debris out until crews arrive.

Garbage pick up is still on schedule for the large green cans and the City has focused its resources on maintaining regular weekly collections since the pandemic began.  Sanitation crews may even arrive in neighborhoods a little before 7 a.m.  To assist in timely pick-up, please place your garbage can to the curb on the day prior to your scheduled collection day.
