Tangled String Syndicate launches with John Paul White and Common Man show, June 4

The Huntsville Music Office is proud to announce the first official show presented by the newly formed Tangled String Syndicate, featuring an intimate headlining performance from Grammy Award‑winning artist John Paul White on Thursday, June 4.
The concert will take place inside the newly enhanced Straight to Ale Speakeasy, offering a high‑fidelity listening environment befitting the Tangled String brand’s legacy and vision, and will also feature Huntsville’s own Common Man as the opening act.

The Tangled String Syndicate marks the next evolution of longtime Huntsville music champion Danny Davis and his beloved Tangled String Studios brand, in partnership with his long-time Tangled String Team— Alli Johnson, Owner of Artemis Music Productions, Mark Torstenson, Owner/Manager of The Fret Shop and Wendy Cruit.
The reimagined new Syndicate is fueled with the same passion for immersive, world‑class musical experiences and expands its mission to “book great artists, partner with great rooms and make great shows.”
“Danny Davis represents everything special that we love about Huntsville, and we are over the moon that he’s jumping back into the music space,” Music Officer Matt Mandrella said. “His work, ear, vision and heart have shaped Huntsville’s culture for decades, and we’re thrilled to see that magic return.”
For Davis, the debut show carries equal meaning.

The June 4 performance brings together some of North Alabama’s most respected talent. John Paul White’s celebrated songwriting and captivating live presence, paired with Common Man’s rising influence as a Huntsville Music Office Ambassador, set the tone for what the Syndicate aims to build: intimate, intentional, high‑quality programming across the region.
