Third Arrest Made in 2015 Holmes Avenue Murder

The Huntsville Police Department Major Crimes Unit has charged 23 year old Lakesha Dyer of Huntsville with Murder.  The arrest stems from the May 2015 shooting death of Jerry Caudle.

 

On May 19, 2015, officers responded to a call of gunshots in the 2800 block of Holmes Avenue.  When they arrived they found Mr. Caudle lying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was transported to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.  Shaquille Hyter, a 20 year old from Huntsville, was taken into custody on December 3, 2015, and Jimmy Leslie, a 20 year old from Huntsville, was taken into custody on December 9, 2015.   

 

Lakesha Dyer was arrested on September 21 and charged with Murder in the case.  She is being held in the Madison County Jail.  The investigation continues and additional arrests could be made.
