Huntsville Police have arrested three people in connection with last night’s shooting at 615 Murray Road. Dominique Marshawn Russell, 26; Brittany Nicole Kingston, 26; and Martin Arrendondo Evenes, 26; are charged with capital murder.

Officers were called to the Murray Road home March 7 after 911 calls reporting a shooting at approximately 6:30 p.m. When officers responded to the scene, they found shell casings in the street and a 3-year-old shooting victim in the house. The child was hit by one of the bullets as she was sleeping. HEMSI and Huntsville Fire & Rescue performed emergency medical treatment. The child was later pronounced dead at Huntsville Hospital.

Investigators worked through the night to piece together details of the shooting. Witnesses report the incident stemmed from an ongoing argument. A confrontation during the day continued over social media through the evening, involving acquaintances of the child’s mother.

Through interviews and physical evidence, police determined the listed offenders drove by the house and fired several rounds as a result of this argument.

Russell, Kingston, and Evenes are being held in the Madison County Jail without bond.
