Huntsville Election Adoption Special

It’s our patriotic responsibility to get out and vote. The dogs, cats, puppies and kittens at Huntsville Animal Services are encouraging registered voters to get to the polls on Municipal Election Day, Tuesday, August 23, by offering an election day special.

Vote for the candidate of your choice and adopt the pet of your dreams on Monday and Tuesday, August 22 and 23, when all dogs over 40 pounds may be adopted for $10 and all cats and kittens for $9.  As an extra incentive on Tuesday, August 23 – Election Day only – citizens with a ‘I VOTED’ sticker may adopt selected pets at no charge.

The municipal election special includes a regular adoption package – shots, spay/neuter, microchip and city license. Adopters will also receive a free bag of pet food while supplies last.

The Animal Shelter is located at 4950 Triana Boulevard, Huntsville, 35805. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Tuesday hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
