Winter Blast kicks off Thursday, Dec. 14, with Samir Fields-Spruill, Samuel Penn and The N.E.I.G.H.B.O.R.S. The Dec. 19 installment features Mulan Throneberry, C1ive and Ty Blackwell. The series concludes Dec. 28 with Poor Rover, Kam Jones and Smorgasbord.

Presented by the Huntsville Music Office, the inaugural three-part series will feature 2023 Blast inductees. Blast, the free streaming platform administered by the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library, features work by dozens of North Alabama artists.

Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella said attendees can expect a dynamic range of genres and styles, as Winter Blast features performers who have earned their place on the digital platform. He’s pleased to work with Blast on a lineup that reflects Huntsville’s rich musical tapestry.

“This dynamic series will shine a spotlight on the diverse and emerging talent that calls Huntsville home,” he said. “It provides a stage for artists to display their talents and underscores the importance of collaboration to promote local artistry. Each night promises to be a celebration of musical innovation and local creativity.”
