Arrest Made In Murder of Mark Chandler Jr.

Huntsville Police Major Crimes Investigators have charged Andrae Quavion Norvel Jr., 24 of Huntsville, with Capital Murder in connection with the November 26, 2017 shooting of Mark Chandler Jr., 29 of Huntsville, Al.
On Sunday November 26, 2017 at approximately 02:40 AM Huntsville Police received a call in reference to a gunshot victim at Huntsville Hospital. Upon arriving a witness advised that both they and Chandler had been shot in his vehicle while driving on University Drive after leaving a night club. Follow-up investigation determined that Norvel and Chandler were in some type of argument prior to the shooting. Norvel has also been charged with Shooting into Occupied Vehicle and Assault 2nd Degree for injuring a driver in the victim’s vehicle.
