Arrest Made in Sunday Night Taco Bell Shooting

Published on March 20, 2017

Huntsville Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting that happened inside the Taco Bell, 2885 N. Memorial Pkwy., last night around 8:45 p.m.  Donovan Keith Little, 19 of Huntsville, has been charged with Attempted Murder, and the victim is in serious condition.

Officers responded to a shooting call inside the Taco Bell, and found a 15 year old victim suffering from gunshot wounds.  He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.  The victim was inside the store waiting in line when Little walked in.  Little pulled a gun and shot the victim before leaving the store.  Shortly after 9:00 p.m., Little turned himself in to officers at the Huntsville Police Departments Administrative Building on Wheeler Avenue.

It appears last night’s shooting stemmed from an August 2015 shooting inside a home in the 2500 block of Holmes Avenue.  Little was the victim, and the victim from the Taco Bell was charged with Assault 2nd degree for that shooting.

Little is currently being held in the Madison County Jail.
