“Collegiate Beach Clash” brings LSU, South Carolina, UAB and Georgia State to Huntsville’s Sand Volleyball Complex Nov. 2

The City of Huntsville’s Parks & Recreation Department and Rally Volleyball will host the “Collegiate Beach Clash” this Saturday, November 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sand Volleyball Complex in John Hunt Park.

LSU, South Carolina, UAB and Georgia State will play in the day-long tournament, marking the tournament’s fifth year, and its first time in Huntsville.

“We are happy to host some of the best collegiate beach volleyball talent in the country,” Huntsville Parks & Recreation Director Steve Ivey said. “This will be the perfect showcase of Huntsville’s state-of-the-art sand volleyball facility and a great precursor to the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Championships coming to the Rocket City in April of 2020.”

The Huntsville Sports Commission estimates the economic impact for the tournament will be approximately $18,500.

The tournament is open to the public, and volunteers are welcome. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and front row views of the competition. Those interested in volunteering can visit rallyvb.com to sign up.
