Concert on the Green: Free event celebrates Huntsville Parks and Recreation Month

Published on July 27, 2022

Huntsville Parks & Recreation is turning up the volume on summer with Concert on the Green. This free event will bring two of the area’s most popular bands, JED Eye and JUICE, together for one fantastic evening.

The concert will take place Saturday, July 30, from 5-9 p.m. at S.R. Butler Green, 2610 Clinton Ave. West. The urban park, located at Campus No. 805, strikes just the right note as the department wraps up Parks and Recreation Month.

Whether you’re looking for great live, local music, a special date night, or a family-friendly outing before school starts, all are welcome. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic baskets or take advantage of the on-site food trucks and neighboring breweries. There’s something for every taste.

The event will open at 5 p.m. JED Eye will take the stage at 5:30 p.m., playing classic rock covers from the ‘80s and ‘90s. From 7:30-9 p.m., JUICE will keep the party going with an energetic mix that will have everyone on their feet.

“We’re excited to bring this free concert to the community,” Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett said. “When we looked at how to we wanted to celebrate Parks and Rec Month, we knew we had to create opportunities for people to get out and have fun. We’ve done that with other events throughout the month. Concert on the Green is the perfect ending.”
